We Are The Church And We Exist For The World
Our Courses

And He is the Head of the body, the church, who is the Beginning, the First-born from the dead, that He may be pre-eminent in all things. For it pleased the Father that in Him all fullness should dwell. And through Him having made peace through the blood of His cross, it pleased the Father to reconcile all things to Himself through Him, whether the things on earth or the things in Heaven.

Colossians 1:18-20

What is the Church? The answer to this question varies so much on our focus at any given time. It is the body of Christ, the universal church, the local church, and it is a business entity and a spiritual entity or a social group.

It is glorious and has some dreadful past, it is filled with men and women of multiple views and ideas, but it is still the most powerful entity on earth.  The church has engineered changes to society and bettered the laws of the land, brought peace where there was war, strength where there are weaknesses, hope where there is despair.

The glorious truths of the Universal Body of Jesus Christ are presented with some of the warts of denominational positions and everything in between. The issues raised are not denominational specific.

The issues are vast. Studying them presents many issues; depending on who you are, what you are doing, how you feel, there is so much to the question – “What is the Church?”

The subjects in this stream can be taken in any order to suit the student’s study needs, and we have no set priority on the topics.

The assessment requirements are a set subject assignment that is usually an open multiple-choice exam. Additional credit points can be earned by completing an essay or a student study guide.
