Vision College has carefully chosen subjects to fulfill the requirements of the Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology. These units are categorized into “Core Units” and “Elective Units,” with completion of the core units being mandatory.
 
We offer flexibility in selecting elective units to accommodate our students’ diverse learning needs.
 
There are three options:
1. Complete any six of the elective units presented in addition to the Core units.
2. Request alternative subjects to satisfy the unit requirements from the study streams.
3. Request up to two units from any other accredited Certificate III course, provided these units are relevant to their desired ministry outcome.
 
Note: Electives taken from another field will be completed through our online training portal.
 
The Principal’s decision regarding substitution requests is final. We encourage students to reach out for further clarification or assistance in tailoring their courses to their individual goals.

Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology Units

A total of eight units must be completed. This includes the two core units plus any 6 units from the elective options below.  Units can be selected in any order as the student prefers.

Dynamic Christian Foundations  satisfies:

Elective Units

Old Testament Survey satisfies:
NAT11236002 Research Christian Scripture and Theology

Creative Bible Study Methods: satisfies:
NAT11236003 Study and present a biblical topic

New Testament Survey satisfies:
NAT11236004 Apply elementary strategies for biblical interpretation

Biblical Management Principles: satisfies
NAT11236005 Support the mission and values of a Christian organisation

Management by Objectives: satsifies
NAT11236006 Support ministry activities

Developing a biblical world view  Satisfies:
NAT11236008 Explain own beliefs to others

Faith Dynamics  satisfies:
NAT11236009 Communicate Theology in everyday language

Teaching Tactics  Satisfies:
NAT11236010 Use basic communication skills in a ministry context

Students are supplied with a textbook, assignments and complete instructions to satisfactorily complete the subject.  Alternative subjects may be requested from the Study Streams.   The final decision on the approval of an alternative subject rests with the Principal.
