Students will learn to apply biblical principles to their daily lives and explain and share those principles with others.
This level of study is best suited to
- To qualify individuals for autonomous leadership in church groups and other ministry contexts
- to develop the ministry values, procedures and practise of their church groups and Christian ministry contexts
- or to provide a pathway to higher levels of qualifications
- qualify individuals for autonomous and senior leadership in church groups
The recommended subjects for this course are listed below. In keeping with our policy of allowing students to tailor the course to suit their training needs, students can use the recommended list or request a substitute from the Principal of the college. The decision of the Principal on the substitution request is final.
To achieve the qualification of a Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology, the candidate must complete four units of competency.
The student will complete the following units

2 Ministry Skills.

Elective Practical Theology Skills
There are two options to complete the elective units:
- Through our “Online Training Portal”, The student has access to a comprehensive and interactive learning and training experience. The Assignments teach and determine competency in the units.
- Access with detailed instructions is provided to students as they enter each unit. Go to The Student User Guide to preview the Vision International Colleges Training Portal.
- If a student cannot access the internet or is uncomfortable with online learning, the same unit is available by mail in hard copy as a workbook with written assignments.
The student must complete a minimum of two elective units with a minimum of 40 nominal hours.
Students may request alternative options for the elective units. See section Elective Skills Units VIC. The decision of the Principal on the choice will be final.
It is helpful, but not required, for a student to be involved in a local church or community-based program under competent leadership and to document their work experience for each unit. This documentation will assist in establishing competencies.
