Performance Evidence

The candidate must show evidence of the ability to complete tasks outlined in the elements and performance criteria of this unit, manage tasks and manage contingencies in the context of the job role. There must be demonstrated evidence that the candidate has:

  • assessed own leadership style and determined strategies to develop own leadership skills
  • supported the development of at least one team
  • resolved problems involving others on at least two occasions

In the course of the above, the candidate must:

  • apply relationship management and communication skills that:
    • demonstrate integrity, respect, empathy and cultural sensitivity
    • encourage participation and foster contribution of, and respect for, ideas and feedback
    • encourage and support team members to resolve difficulties

Knowledge Evidence

The candidate must be able to demonstrate essential knowledge required to effectively complete the tasks outlined in the elements and performance criteria of this unit. This includes knowledge of:

Performance Criteria

  • Conduct gap analysis to determine the need, target and scope for a ministry program
  • Ascertain the support for a ministry program, resourcing capacity and factors which will impact its delivery
  • Determine key stakeholders, priorities to be addressed, possible strategies and options for action
  • Analyse target audience for the ministry program and key characteristics, social and cultural issues that need to be considered in program design and delivery
  • Determine measures and evidence of program success and possible risks

Design ministry program

  • Develop suitable program plan in consultation with stakeholders
  • Specify program evaluation plan and monitoring strategies
  • Determine required program resources and develop program resourcing strategy
  • Liaise with supervisors and stakeholders to review ministry program, evaluation plan and resourcing strategies to ensure the plans and strategies are fit for purpose

Implement ministry program   

  • Conduct and evaluate pilots and make adjustments to ensure program achieves its objectives
  • Facilitate and monitor program implementation in accordance with the strategy

4.  Evaluate ministry program

  • Evaluate ministry program design and outcomes according to the criteria and specifications identified in the program plan
  • Use results of evaluation for revision and ongoing development
