Vision Colleges - What Others Are Saying
It is the testimony of what others are saying that you can be confident that Vision Colleges are a good choice for you. Like other items or products you have to purchase, you need to be confident that it is good. You can have confidence from the testimony of those who have tried and known us. World leaders and students alike speak well of what we do. Below are a few comments, and more will be added over time.
I hope these help – Principal Denis Plant

Apostolic Council for Educational Accountability (ACEA)
“Vision is not only a charter member of ACEA, but it is highly regarded by all of the other educators as a forerunner in the whole area of apostolic education. I commend Dr. Stan DeKoven and his whole leadership team for their living example of equipping the saints for the work of the ministry.”
Rev. Steven Mills
Global 12 Project, West Africa
Vision has helped us to train church planters to penetrate the unreached people groups of this part of the world. In 2003, with the help of Vision, 482 trained men and women started new churches, penetrating 28 unreached people groups for the first time. One of the greatest needs in Africa today is for trained national leadership, and I believe that Vision is one of the primary tools God is using to see this need fulfilled.

“I have been privileged to speak at a conference for Vision International University and to work with Dr. Stan DeKoven. I have seen firsthand the classes and have heard several of the teachers as I sat in on their classes. One of the most impressive aspects of this school is its diversity of constituents and the expanse of its outreach. In addition, I have been impressed with their ability to work through the Internet to reach people all over the world. Dr. DeKoven has been in the forefront of understanding that we must bring education and training to the students, rather than just bringing the students to a school. I am also impressed with the biblical convictions and approaches that VIU takes toward the student. I believe that they go beyond passing on information to produce formation in the lives of those who are taught. I wholeheartedly recommend VIU as both academic and accessible.”
Dr. Anthony Spero
Faith Fellowship World Outreach Ministry
“Vision has been a blessing to me personally to earn my degrees and also it was a tremendous blessing to the ministries I oversee in the United States and Africa. We were able to start [a Vision program] in a church I used to pastor, and in Nigeria, Cameroon, and in Ghana. It has helped people all over the world to gain a better knowledge of the Word of God so they can fulfil the call of God on their life.”
Dr. Alan Langstaff
Kairos Ministries, Australia
“Vision opened up a door for my continuing education and I benefited greatly. I strongly commend the program to other ministers and leaders who want to learn and grow; it will help you to do just that, to better equip you for service to help you reach your goals in life.”

Hello Dr.Denis. Thank you so much for giving me a chance at Vision College. This is Africa and we have some challenges. In my case, I have to travel very far to get a computer!!!. However, I have managed to read the book you wrote for several times, “The Blood Covenant of God”. The book has very powerful words I didn’t know that shows us that surely there is no doubt we are in blood covenant relationship with Jesus… Also, I have seen your picture and read your biography, your over 30 years in teaching ministry and your Missionary work in Papua New Guinea. Sir, I am happy and confident to know that I have a well-experienced mentor, teacher and friend and therefore there is no doubt that I am going to plant a similar Church here and become your representative. Sir, I am now working on the Dynamic Christian Foundations and as I have told you about some challenges here is that I am going to be done soon. God bless you. Bye-bye. From Moses [Student Vision College]

- Have more confidence in their knowledge of the Word of God (Bible).
- A greater understanding of the origins of the Christian Church.
- They are more involved in the local Church.
Many thanks to Vision College for your tireless support.

Thank you for your nice comments on my assignment. You could probably notice from my responses that I really enjoyed this unit and got a lot out of it. I have no problems with you using my work as examples if you want to.
Thank you once again for all your support during my studies. I did find the online format a bit difficult at times, with the lack of interaction with other students, but I am very glad that I chose to do this course with Vision as I found the content relevant to my needs. I intend to have a break from the study now and may take up Diploma studies with you in the future, but for now, I need to focus my attention on my role as pastor of the church at Warracknabeal.
God bless you and your staff as you continue your ministry.

Hi Pastor Luke,
I have been asked to pass on this message to you (below), regarding the Bible College where I am currently studying a certificate in ministry. I am currently on my 9th and 10th subjects.
I cannot recommend Vision Christian Colleges enough and words cannot express the blessing that they have been to my life. Particularly for someone who wants to study at their own pace, by correspondence.
Every time that I am studying the material from Vision Christian Colleges, I can sense the presence of God, as a confirmation/witness of the will of God….. It is truly amazing. Every subject that I am studying, at any particular point in time, seems to be exactly what I need and exactly what I am going through, in my personal life, at that point in time and can be directly applied.
Enough Said…….

Dear Rev. Dr Denis Plant and staff of Vision International College,
I would like to express my appreciation to Vision International College regarding my studies.
It was a wonderful and fantastic experience to study my Certificate Ill in Christian Ministry and Theology at Vision International College.
The lessons, materials and study structures were easy to follow, had great detail, and were very good. Although I had some issues with understanding instructions when I asked for help the Vision International College gave clear explanations.
I have improved my understanding of the words of God. It has brought me to a higher level. I have developed and progressed in my English through this study as well.
I found I was blessed to have “Trisha Hart “at this college. She is always very helpful and very supportive of my study.
Thank you so much for having me as your student, being patient with me and thank you for your support.

Dear Pastor Denis,
I am writing to let you know that my husband and I are really thrilled to have made contact (again) with Vision Colleges.
We have been thoroughly blessed through reading the latest newsletter, and especially to know that an Alumni Association is in the process of being set up. We completed both the Certificate (Dianne awarded 31/08/1978 signed by KD Chant and George awarded 28/03/80 signed by GA Cruickshank ) and Diploma studies (both of us awarded 28/10/82 signed by GA Cruickshank). Sounds a long while ago, but the good, sound theology/teaching through our studies still impacts us to this very day. Our foolscap study manuals are still treasured and are regularly brought out for refreshment etc. We found, and still, do, that the studies are full of life-giving truths, not dull, legalistic teaching if that makes sense!
We continue to look forward to future newsletters.
With loving blessings in the Lord,
George & Dianne Dingle

Thank you both so much for these.
It has been a bit of a rush to the finish line, and I really appreciate the effort from everyone to ensure that I was able to send a letter like this one off to my employer. I have found your organisation to be thorough, professional and very accommodating. And the subject matter had been practical and very relevant to me.
Many thanks again.

As a part of our continuing development requirements for the accredited courses, we need to get some feedback from you as a student. Please note your feedback is confidential and is to be used only for the purpose of providing a better College experience
Would you please take some time to write a few lines for us on the following issues, it will help us a great deal to understand your needs and how we can better help you as a college in your studies.
It will help the college if we can see how you are benefiting from the course.
Please be open and honest with your assessment. While high praise is good to receive any criticism or complaint sometimes hard to take they are not helpful if there is no constructive feedback, and we want to be the best that we can be.

- Subject study materials:
I like the study materials very much.
- Assessment processes
As someone who has been away from formal study for approximately 30 years, the multiple choice questions are good, but sometimes I find the answers a little difficult to find and more than one answer could conceivably be correct. With the Essay’s I’m still learning what is acceptable and what is not. Finding a topic to do an essay on was overwhelming at first. My first essay was the new testament in 2,000 words. After talking to friends in ministry, it was good to know that others also found this a little overwhelming. I also found getting through the entire New Testament within 4 weeks a bit of a challenge, particularly reading it through twice, the second time in-depth making notes, and then trying to pick something from the NT to write the essay on
- Online portal training
I don’t think this is something I have done yet.
- Ordering process
At first, I also found this confusing, and I needed assistance. It is also difficult to order the essay and/or study guide at the time of ordering the subject, as there doesn’t appear to be a box to tick to include these items. Even when I put the request in the box that allowed further information, this did not always ensure I have forwarded the essay with the rest of the subject material.
- Marking process
Again I am still learning about what is expected. I have received the results back very swiftly. The first essay I completed I was given a lot of good critiques and this helped immensely. The last essay I completed I was unsure why I lost 10 points for relativity but felt uncomfortable asking why as I had already asked so many questions.
- Accessibility of the staff in the office by:
- Phone
Haven’t really tried since I commenced study, but as I was enquiring about the courses and subjects I was very impressed with the contact I had via phone.
Email response has been exceptionally good on the whole.
- In person
I have not met with anyone in person.
- What can we do better?
I would like to be able to study the large parts of the bible like NT and OT in greater detail and over a longer period, maybe even looking at a couple of books at a time rather than in one big block. I realise that this is probably more of an overview, but I felt that I hadn’t given the NT the time and dedication to detail it deserved. I would also like to have a little more detail in the expectations of essays, ie:- examples of topics that could be picked for essays; examples of types of formats for essays. This may not be something that fits with the protocols of the college, and maybe more a case of what I’m used to receiving via my previous work experience as a legal secretary and a transcriber.
- How are you using your knowledge and skills
Currently, I am passing on what I learn to everyone I meet at church, I am conducting 2 Bible Studies a week, and leading worship and children’s talks on the 5th Sundays, and when there are extra days such as Christmas, Easter, etc. and when other worship leaders are ill or away.
- General Comments
Generally, I am really enjoying what I am learning. I have had to take a temporary break in my study until I receive a disability pension, but the experience as a whole has been very positive and motivating. I’m not sure at this stage what God has in store for me, but He did lead me to this College. I am open to His guidance and direction, learning to sit and wait patiently.
I have a very competitive nature and expect a very high standard for myself and when the deadlines and results are against a benchmark are not clear, I expect as close to 100% results as possible. I struggle with anything under 95%. I’m not sure what is normal or what would be a High Distinction; A; etc. Only pass or fail is something I struggle with. I am always striving to be the best I can be. This is something that maybe God is working on with me through my illness. I may need to learn to accept a lower standard from myself, but I’m still not sure if what I am achieving is a low standard, normal or above average. This would help me to understand whether I’m being too hard on myself, or whether I do need to work harder to achieve better results.
